Thanks to the University, Padua has preserved intact since the 16th century the first permanent anatomical theatre and the first university botanical garden in the world, which, together with the discoveries made by Galileo Galilei in the best 18 years of his life, make it the cradle of modern science. Places to visit with a single ticket over a six-month period or to let friends discover with an original gift.

New fares starting on 1st November

From the 1st of November, the price of entrance tickets to the Museum of Nature and Humankind will change: full-price tickets will cost € 12,00, reduced-price tickets € 10,00, reduced price tickets for young people €7,00 and family tickets € 30,00. Great news for visiting the University's Places of Science: it is now possible to buy a single ticket to visit the Botanical Garden, Palazzo del Bo and the Museum of Nature and Humankind.

Experience for secondary school students at the Museum – Science4All

From 21 to 24 November, as part of Science Week, Science4All Scuole will for the first time offer activities for secondary schools at the Museum of Nature and Humankind.

The fossil Tridentinosaurus antiquus, which is on display in the Museum's 'Deep Time' area, departed today for Oxfordshire, where it will undergo a series of analyses at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory on the Harwell Campus.

Talking museum and special tickets for Scien4All

On Saturday 30 September, the Museum will be open until 8 p.m. with a special admission ticket (€6 for adults, free for children and young people under 25 years of age). A 'talking' tour full of interesting curiosities will animate the entire Museum, including a treasure hunt and family activities.

Science 4 All - The Festival of Science on 30 September 2023

Saturday 30 September will be a special day to visit the Museum of Nature and Humankind, as the museum will be giving the floor to conservators, scientific referents, and university lecturers and will offer activities for children and young people.

Notturni Padovani at the Museum of Nature and Humankind

During the summer, the Museum participates in the proposals of ‘Notturni Padovani - tra Arte, vie d'Acqua e Sapori 2023’ (Paduan Nocturnes - Art, Waterways and Flavours 2023), offering an extra opportunity to visit with the guides of the Museum of Nature and Humankind.

The Museum opens on 23 June and is the main permanent legacy left to the city by the celebrations for the 800th anniversary of the University of Padua.
