Information pursuant to art. 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679

Pursuant to articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, containing provisions on data protection, we wish to inform you that the personal data voluntarily provided by you to the University of Padua will be processed by the same by adopting the suitable to guarantee security and confidentiality, in compliance with the aforementioned legislation.

1. Purposes and methods of data processing

1.1. Navigation data.

The computer systems used to operate the visitmnu.it site automatically acquire, in their daily operation, some personal data which are implicitly transmitted in the use of web communication protocols. These are data which, if processed with data held by third parties, could identify users/visitors. This is for example the IP address and domain names of the computers used by users/visitors who connect to visitmnu.it. This personal data is normally collected for statistical surveys, managed anonymously and used to facilitate navigation on the visitmnu.it website.

1.2. Cookies.

The visitmnu.it site uses tracking cookies, short strings of text that are sent by the site server to the user’s/site visitor’s browser and are automatically saved on the user’s/visitor’s PC. The purpose is to carry out statistical analyzes for the sole purpose of improving the offer of services and therefore it is advisable to configure your browser to accept them. Almost all browsers are set up to accept cookies, however the user/visitor can independently change the configuration of his browser and block cookies (see point 1.2.2 “How to disable cookies (opt-out)”).

1.2.1. Tracking cookies Monitoring cookies can be disabled without any consequence on navigation of the portal. The University uses the Google Analytics service of the company Google, Inc. (hereinafter “Google”) to generate statistics on the use of the web portal; Google Analytics uses cookies (not from third parties) which do not memorize personal data. The information obtainable from cookies on the use of the website by users (including IP addresses) will be transmitted by the user’s browser to Google, with headquarters at 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States, and deposited at the servers of the company itself.

According to the existing terms of service, Google will use this information, as independent data controller, for the purpose of tracking and examining the use of the website, compiling reports on site activity for use by the site operators and providing other services relating to the activities of the website, the connection methods (mobile, PC, browser used, etc.) and the methods for searching and reaching the portal pages. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate IP addresses with any other data held by Google.

By using the University website, you consent to the processing of your data by Google for the methods and purposes indicated above.

1.2.2. How to disable cookies (opt-out) It is possible to deny consent to the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate setting on your browser: unauthenticated navigation on the portal will still be available in all its functions. Alternatively, it is possible to disable only Google Analytics cookies, using the opt-out add-on provided by Google for the main browsers.

1.2.3. Remarketing e Behavioral Targeting

This type of service allows this Application and its partners to inform, optimize and serve advertising based on past use of this Application by the User.
This activity is facilitated by tracking Usage Data and by using Trackers to collect information, which is then transferred to the partners that manage the remarketing and behavioral targeting activity.
Some services offer a remarketing option based on email address lists.
Services of this kind usually offer the possibility to opt out of such tracking. Facebook Remarketing (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited)

Facebook Remarketing is a remarketing and behavioral targeting service provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited that connects the activity of this Application with the Facebook advertising network.

Personal Data processed: Trackers and Usage Data.

Place of processing: Ireland – Privacy Policy – Opt Out.

Storage duration: 3 months

1.3 Registration and login (Website and Mobile App)

Among the Personal Data collected by this Application, independently or through third parties, there are: name; surname; e-mail.

User data is collected to allow access to accounts on third-party services, registration and authentication and registration and authentication provided directly by this application.

Personal Data may be freely provided by the User or, in the case of Usage Data, collected automatically when using this Application. Unless otherwise specified, all Data requested by this Application are mandatory. If the User refuses to communicate them, it may be impossible for this Application to provide the Service. In cases where this Application indicates some Data as optional, Users are free to refrain from communicating such Data, without this having any consequence on the availability of the Service or on its operation.

1.4 Purpose and data retention The data collected is processed exclusively for:

  • profile registration and authentication
  • perform statistical analyses, for the sole purpose of improving the offer of services and for the minimum time necessary to perform the service.

1.5 Data processing

The treatments will be carried out both manually and with the aid of electronic or automated means, and include, in compliance with the limits and conditions set by the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679: collection, registration, organization, storage, consultation , processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, cancellation and destruction of data.

2. Communication and dissemination of data

The data collected will not be disseminated or communicated to third parties, except in the cases provided for by the information and/or by law and, in any case, with the methods permitted by this. The data may come to the attention of the data processors or persons in charge of the processing, within the scope of their respective functions and in accordance with the instructions received, only for the achievement of the specific purposes indicated in this statement.

3. Rights of the interested party
