This room displays fossils from the Mesozoic (from about 251 to 66 million years ago) divided into three main periods: Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous. Particularly important are some ichthyosaurs, the finds from the deposits of Solnhofen and Holzmaden (Germany), and a rich collection of ammonites. A graphic illustrates the presence of traces of dinosaurs and other Mesozoic reptiles in the Triveneto. A multimedia shows the geology of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which were mostly formed in this period.
