The documentary, which will be screened for the first time at the Study Day dedicated to Al-Khiday, illustrates aspects of the life of the hunter-gatherer-fishermen who lived on the banks of the White Nile in the Late Pleistocene-Early Holocene, and presents the results of the interdisciplinary archaeological research carried out at the site of Al-Khiday by the Centro Studi Sudanesi e Sub-Sahariani ETS of Treviso.
The documentary, in English with Italian subtitles, was produced by the Centro Studi Sudanesi e Sub-Sahariani ETS of Treviso in collaboration with the Universities of Padua, Parma and Milan, with funds for the Promotion of the Country System made available by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The director is Marco Tomaselli, assisted by Donatella Usai, who is the author of the texts.
Participation in the event is free, by reservation only, and does not include the visit to the Museum of Nature and Humankind.
